ThorBoards defeat every round including .44Mag. and 12 gauge. The hybrid shield is AR 15 capable.

ThorBoard was lab tested at H.P. White: with ten rounds of .44Mag with no penetration (test available). It is 3A rated except for the AR-capable hybrid shield. There is no penetration, no spall, and no deformation. It absorbs impact. With no shock to the officer. ThorBoard AND a vest are needed in today's world. A vest alone does not offer enough protection. The impact from a round in the vest puts the responder on his back. With ThorBoard we take the hit so the first responder is still able to respond.

If looking around any object(peek), the head is protected with ThorBoard. If seeking shelter behind the vehicle door, our door mount offers enhanced protection. If in a hallway, it offers shelter where none exists.

For suspicious vehicles and traffic stops, it protects the officer. But more than that, ThorBoard buys the officer time.to mke better decisions, If the driver is reaching for perhaps a wallet and a gun appears, the officer is protected. Both parties go home. ThorBoard is a de-escalation tool, a current hot topic. It is also used for serving warrants where small spaces are the norm.
